Bernard Gérard "Tempo, musique pour l'éducation psychomotrice" Unidisc, 1977

Finally, after more than a month without any update i'm back and with yet an other Unidisc release.
"Tempo" was the first of two records that Bernard Gérard recorded in this serie for the Unidisc label (the most interesting tracks from the second one will soon be available in a forthcoming sampler) and just like most of this label releases it was recorded for a professional use, here the purpose was psychomotricity. This LP is a favorite of mine, it was the first Unidisc record i ever found and up to this day i still love its sound, deeply rooted in the mid seventies.
One word about the composer, Bernard Gérard is mostly known for the soundtrack of the Georges Lautner classic movie "Ne nous fâchons pas" and for his collaboration with guitarist Claude Ciari on the "Batucada's seven" LP, he also recorded a couple of religious records for the Unidisc and Auvidis label.

See you soon !

The zip file contains high resolution cover and label scans and tracks encoded at 256 kbps.

Great, looking forward to this! Actually I just purchased a copy of the Francisco Semprun & Michel Christodoulides album "Metamorphoses", thanks to your post several months ago. I love that one! I'll have to investigate more Unidisc releases. The artwork is always amazing as well. Thanks!

Archigram, i already knew that the "Métamorphoses" LP was one of your holy grail because of your comment at the time of my post but also because i saw your comment on the Stereolab forum a few weeks ago. I was glad to see that three of my rips really fits your taste.
You can expect more Unidisc rips in the future because i finally found a few months ago a near mint copy of the third Semprun & Christodoulides LP for this label. It is named "Espaces dynamiques" and it is very similar to their "Métamorphoses" LP. I got a lot more fantastic Unidisc LPs which are waiting to be ripped like "Pour la danse, les percussions de Sylvio Gualda & Jean Pierre Drouet", "Creative music", "Free rythm dance"...

Oh yeah, many of your album posts have been in my regular rotation, and have been among my favorite finds in the last year, particularly the Andre Popp, Caravelli, Henri Texier, Johanna Group, and the Francisco Semprun. Great, great stuff! I look forward to more Unidisc music!

I just finished listening to this one. What a great share! The included M3U file is also very interesting: all the music in so little memory. That's my first encounter with this type of file.
