Caravelli "April Orchestra vol.16" CBS/April Music, 1977
If you are into Library Music you have already heard about this LP. This is one of the best, if not the best of all the April Orchestra releases.
It takes only one look at Caravelli's discography to understand that this record is an enigma. You can listen to fifty of his dull orchestral records without finding even ten seconds worth of sample so it's quite surprising that the french/Italian conductor released this Hip Hop producer's dream at the end of the seventies. You are about to hear deep dark Funk with a perfect instrumentation, tight drums, fat bass, occasional organ and a string section that has more to do with Bernard Herrmann than André Rieu...and what about those strange titles that look like a catalogue of Grand Guignol Theater plays, "L'étrange Dr. Personne", "Métamorphose démentielle", "Cadence pour un fou"...I really like this record !

Merci whoops pour cet April Orchestra n°16 que j'ai cherché en vain dans la pile où j'ai eu de nombreux autres. Voilà de quoi combler mon manque, et certainement mieux que mon LP de Caravelli : Let me try again – Laisse-moi le temps de 1973 que j'ai trouvé dans un vide-grenier récemment...Bref, même si on est déjà en mai, un peu d'April et du bon, c'est toujours bien!

Effectivement c'est du lourd !!!!! je n'ai pas encore eut l'occasion de le choper mais je ne desespere pas ! En attendant, merci pour ce rip de haute qualité ! ( et pas du rip de cd s'il vous plais ! )

Merci tout le monde pour les commentaires. J'avais un peu d'appréhension à ripper celui là, le son est tellement compact qu'un rip trop medium aurait enlevé tout le relief.
Cela reste tout de même assez incroyable qu'un faiseur de soupe comme Caravelli ai pu pondre un tel joyau...et puis qui est ce Ph. Vasori crédité sur 2 morceaux ?
